You definitly need to move on, he sounds like a douche bag who can't make up his mind. If he honestly cared about you, he wouldn't be up and down like he is. He'd straight text you "I want you," not beat around the bush awkwardly. The best thing to do, is to not talk to him and go out with another guy, kinda show him off to your ex and let him know you aren't a little shy girl, and your happy, he did you wrong, now show him your better off. :D
