What killed this bird?

We rescued this wild injured bird and two days later we woke up,she was out of her cage lying on the ground with a gash in her head. What could have gotten her,racoon or cat? (she was outside) we have racooons and two cats well one's a kitten but he's inside so how can we tell? i am so mad and i need to know what to do.
