No, Joseph Smith was not divine. No mormon worth his cardboard temple recommend card would admit to that. You won't find that info anywhere in the LDS records, official or otherwise. But that doesn't let them off the hook. Mormonism does, however, revere the tool rather more than the Toolmaker, because they believe HIS ideas over God's. Smith is the one you must answer to before you get to even glimpse mormon Jesus in mormon heaven, according to Brigham Young. But then again, old Brig thought it was okay to marry women he didn't love enough to not send a javelin through her heart if caught cheating on him. Nice husband material, eh? Its no wonder then why he married 54 women and housed them in a tricked out barn.... paid for by LDS coffers.
