Opinions on feline leukaemia and feline Aids?

What are peoples view on feline leukaemia and feline aids vaccinations and their importance. I just found out that my rescue cat did not have these two, but has had all the others. I will probably get this done, but wondered what others with cats did about these vaccinations.
